The 2024 Central-North Central Region and Central Coastal Techfest Startup Festival, themed "Regional Connectivity to Promote Innovative Startups and Sustainable Development," is organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in collaboration with the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province.

This event highlights Thua Thien Hue's commitment to becoming a major hub for science and technology in Vietnam, in line with the spirit of Politburo Resolution No. 54-NQ/TW. It serves as an opportunity to consult on policy mechanisms for innovative startup investment, share and discuss key economic and social development challenges in the Central-North Central region, and strengthen connections between the Hue Imperial Startup ecosystem and the region’s innovation ecosystems. The event also aims to attract resources and investments from major corporations to support local economic and social development, and to inspire and spread the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation across all sectors in Thua Thien Hue and the broader region.

The leaders performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the exhibition

The exhibition at the event featured over 60 booths, including 17 booths showcasing technology and equipment; 22 booths displaying the products of tech startups, science and technology (S&T) organizations, incubators, and startup centers in Thua Thien Hue; and 25 booths introduced by enterprises from the Departments of Science and Technology of the North Central and Central Coastal regions, including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, and Binh Dinh.

At the exhibition, the HueCIT booth introduced participants, scientists, organizations, and businesses to key products, particularly IT applications developed by the Thua Thien Hue Information Technology Center. These applications have been effectively implemented across various organizations and businesses in the region, including the Science and Technology Task Management System, the Trade Promotion Support System, the Open Data System, the Inspection and Auditing Management Software, and the Green Space and Landscape Management System. With nearly 24 years of development, HueCIT not only advises the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province on IT application solutions for governmental agencies but also serves as a digital transformation consultant for organizations and enterprises. Additionally, it acts as a hub for investment promotion for IT companies, both domestic and international, seeking to establish themselves in Hue. HueCIT continues to research and implement many IT solutions across various sectors, benefiting the community and society at large.

Joining HueCIT at the booth, partners also showcased cutting-edge technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) and 3D Laser Scanning, applied in fields like tourism, culture, healthcare, and science and technology, which garnered significant interest from attendees and visitors.
