Overview of the K34 project defense session

During the graphic design project defense session for the K34 class, the design products created by various groups received constructive feedback from the members of the review panel regarding both content and form. This process provided the students with a stronger foundation to further develop their skills and enhance the applications of their products for future projects and work. In terms of form, the design products of all groups were evaluated by the panel as meeting the requirements for brand identity design. Additionally, there were a few products that required additional time for more meticulous refinement.

The Graphic Design course at HueCIT offers a structured curriculum with a focus on practical training, comprising 90% hands-on practice. This approach optimally enhances students' graphic design skills. In just three months of study, students become proficient in using software such as Photoshop, Corel, Illustrator, and InDesign. They gain the ability to apply graphic design knowledge creatively to complete projects related to branding identity.

In terms of knowledge:

Students grasp fundamental knowledge about art, logo design, posters, various types of flyers, brochures, different labels, industrial product packaging, office materials, and brand identity.
They understand how to process concept sketches and designs using graphic design software.

In terms of skills:

• Develop creative thinking skills, event organization skills, design skills, and the ability to print various graphic design-related products.
• Proficiently use and install graphic design software like Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and InDesign.
• Acquire skills to design various applied art products.
• Choose suitable software, tools, and materials to design packaging products of different types, uses, and functions.
• Work independently and create jobs as per market demand.
• Possess the capability to self-improve professional competence or pursue higher-level education.
