The Hue-ICT Challenge is an annual competition organized by the Thua Thien Hue Information Technology and Telecommunications Association in collaboration with the University of Sciences, Hue University, under the direction of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee.

The Hue-ICT Challenge is held annually to encourage the spirit of learning, self-research, creativity, and to improve teamwork skills and international standards integration among high school and secondary school students (collectively referred to as high schools). The competition aims to seek and discover innovative IT product ideas among students, thereby guiding students in choosing IT as a career path to develop their skills and meet the workforce demands of the IT sector in Thua Thien Hue, the Central Highlands, and the country as a whole.

Mr. Tong Phuoc Minh, Vice Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Information Technology and Telecommunications Association, delivered a concluding speech at the program.

Elevated to a provincial-level competition from its inception in 2022, the Hue-ICT Challenge is considered a valuable platform for students to develop their skills and creativity. It provides students with a fair opportunity to showcase their talents, thereby spreading a love and passion for the IT field. This contributes to the goal of developing 10,000 IT personnel by 2025 in Thua Thien Hue province. Now in its third year, the Hue-ICT Challenge is shaping its brand and significantly growing in scale and quality at the national level, with professional support from experts of the Vietnam Association for Information Processing (VAIP) and continuous collaboration from the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Education and Training, the Thua Thien Hue Information Technology Center, and the Hue Monuments Conservation Center.
