Understanding the importance of STEM in the education of thinking and skills for students, the Training and Education Division (under the provincial IT Center) has researched STEM training for the students from primary to lower secondary schools in the province and prepared for modern learning spaces with a total area of about 80m2.
In fact, STEM education is becoming one of the focuses of the new general education curriculum. Particularly in Thua Thien Hue, besides educational centers that have implemented stem activities, in the school year 2022-2023, Thua Thien Hue Education sector is also one of seven localities selected to pilot stem education in the country, thereby initially implementing pilots for 7 primary schools in the province. With the establishment of a specialized STEM education address at HueCIT.edu, it will contribute to meeting the growing STEM learning needs of students, as well as the address for schools in Thua Thien Hue province to learn, visit and practice, thereby contributing to the implementation of Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated May 04, 2017, of the Prime Minister on strengthening access to the Industrial Revolution 4.0, promoting the implementation of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in the general education program and the Project "Strengthening the application of information technology and digital transformation in education and training in the period of 2022 - 2025, orientation to 2030" (in the Prime Minister's Decision No. 131/QD-TTg dated January 25, 2022); in which "implementing an integrated scientific education model - technology - engineering - mathematics and arts (STEM/STEAM education), developing programming thinking, implementing appropriate computer science programs; bringing digital literacy and safety content, cybersecurity, open platforms, open source software into the curriculum from primary school to early formation of skills.
